Job summary

NC State University seeks a Temporary Food Service Supervisor to organize and supervise dining operations at Clark Dining Hall on the NC State campus. The role involves managing the dining room, supervising staff on shift, ensuring SOP compliance, and delivering excellent customer service.

This hourly, time-limited position offers a 32–40 hour workweek that includes nights, weekends and holidays. Opportunities for renewal and advancement to a benefits-eligible role may be available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work will also be considered.
• Experience in a similar capacity.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage the dining room to maintain operations for Clark Dining Hall.
• Supervise all employees on their shift.
• Ensure Unit SOPs are followed and staff are on task. Provide professional redirection as appropriate.
• Assist with closing duties as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining business needs are met.
• Position may be asked to assist in other locations as necessary.
