Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking Student Stewards to keep the kitchen clean, stocked, and running smoothly across campus dining programs. You will wash utensils, stock supplies, and assist with prep while supporting teammates in a fast-paced environment.

We're looking for individuals who value cleanliness, can pass a background check, and are eager to gain hands-on kitchen experience. Prior dishwashing is a plus, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational coursework in kitchen basics, such as food safety, preferred.
• Food safety handler and sanitation certification, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Previous restaurant dishwashing experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of operating a commercial dishwasher.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen and dining area clean and sanitary.
• Wash utensils, equipment, and dishes by machine or by hand.
• Put away clean dishware, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans.
• Stock supplies at serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars.
• Sweep and wash floors; sort and remove trash to designated pickup areas.
• Help with food prep duties as directed, such as salad bar and cold dishes.
• Help unload and put away deliveries; communicate with management by phone, email, and text.
