Job summary

Utah Valley University is seeking an Area Technical Manager to lead technical support services for an assigned college or support area. Working under the EUTS Director, you will manage a team of at least four part-time employees responsible for diagnosing and repairing end-user workstations across UVU.

The role requires deep knowledge of network topologies, Active Directory, and authentication systems to ensure reliable campus technology services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience totaling 6+ years.
• Current A+, CNA, CNE, MCP, MCSE, CCNA or other industry-recognized certification.
• Strong leadership, supervisory and people-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the technical personnel within the department.
• Develop and align strategic technology plans for the assigned area.
• Oversee end-user support, hardware and software troubleshooting, and inventory management.
• Engage with students, faculty, chairs and deans to understand technology needs.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and stay current with industry best practices.
