Qualifications

• Two years of experience in facilities operations, grounds maintenance, or general repair in a college or institutional setting.
• Proven reliability, strong work ethic, and a track record of meeting commitments and deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to provide responsive customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in task execution and documentation.
• Strong collaboration skills; able to work in a team while remaining accountable for individual performance.
• Ability to work overtime or flexible hours for events or emergencies.
• Practical skills to perform assigned tasks effectively and adapt to varied responsibilities.
• Massachusetts high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physically demanding work.
• Knowledge of day-to-day operations in a college environment.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and annual DOT medical form.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Public Safety Hoisting License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds and performs landscaping tasks including planting, mowing, trimming, and leaf collection.
• Clears snow and ice from parking lots and walkways.
• Assists with event setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
• Performs general labor tasks including moving equipment and supplies safely.
• Completes minor repairs and maintenance on campus facilities/equipment.
• Troubleshoots and fixes minor equipment issues.
• Picks up trash and disposes of waste daily.
• Participates in on-call rotation for emergencies.
• Fulfills other duties to support department and campus goals.
