Job summary

Central College is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our facilities team. You will mow, trim, seed, plant, water, snow-remove areas and support campus landscapes while operating grounds equipment safely.

Responsibilities include basic equipment maintenance, moving office furniture as needed, and assisting with event setup and campus projects. A valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 100 lbs are required; flexibility for snow duties is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with basic math skills.
• At least 1 year of grounds maintenance experience and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate and climb ladders and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Availability for flexible hours for snow removal or events.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, weed, seed, landscape, plant, water, and snow removal.
• Assist with fertilizer and pesticide application if licensed.
• Operate grounds equipment such as tractors, mowers, spreaders, and snow blowers.
• Perform basic maintenance of grounds equipment and tasks.
• Complete deliveries, office/furniture moves and housing bed bunking as needed.
• Support event setup/ teardown on campus and athletic grounds.
• Maintain clean shops and mechanical rooms.
• Assist facilities staff with projects and tasks as needed.
