Job summary

Colorado Mountain College is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee non-residential campus operations, including buildings, grounds, and safety. The role supervises staff and contractors, manages budgets, and ensures preventive maintenance across multiple service sites, with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with related experience or equivalent, knowledge of facilities systems, and a Colorado driver license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year related experience, or Associate degree and 3 years related experience, or High School/GED and 5 years related experience.
• Certifications such as CFM, SFP, FMP, CEFP are desirable but not required.
• Knowledge of facilities management practices, budgeting, and standard office software.
• Ability to communicate clearly, manage multiple tasks, and work independently or in a team.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Colorado Driver License and related credentials.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, and manages staff.
• Oversees cleaning and maintenance of campus facilities and equipment.
• Initiates planned and preventive maintenance programs for campus facilities.
• Oversees grounds functions including landscaping, irrigation, and snow removal.
• Coordinates outside contractor services and manages utility/energy systems.
• Oversees safety and security systems and compliance with Risk Management.
• Manages space allocation, parking, and building layout.
• Develops and administers the campus facilities budget.
• Supports campus moves, installations, and coordination with IT and vendors.
