Job summary

Colorado Mountain College is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee non-residential campus facilities, maintenance, custodial services, and building safety. You will lead staff, coordinate outside contractors, and manage budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with safety and environmental policies.

Reporting to the Campus Vice President and Director of Facilities, the role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year related experience.
• Associate’s Degree and three years related experience.
• High School Diploma/GED and five years related experience.
• Certifications such as CFM, SFP, FMP, CEFP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, and manages staff.
• Oversees cleaning and maintenance of all campus facilities and equipment.
• Initiates planned/preventive maintenance programs and manages unplanned repairs.
• Oversees grounds functions: landscaping, irrigation, snow removal.
• Schedules, coordinates, and oversees outside contractor services.
• Manages campus utility and energy management systems; coordinates with contractors.
• Oversees campus motor pool and other facilities vehicles; manages maintenance.
• Collaborates with architects, engineers, builders and contractors on new construction or renovations.
• Oversees campus safety and security; manages access systems, surveillance, alarms, and risk management.
• Oversees web-based work order management; collaborates with IT for technical support.
• Manages space allocation, layout, and campus parking.
• Administers campus facilities budget; buys equipment and supplies; maintains records.
