Job summary

Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) is seeking an Event Setup Assistant to prepare campus spaces for a range of events, meetings, activities, and functions. You will move and arrange tables, chairs, furniture, signage, tents, cones, and other equipment to ensure spaces are ready for use.

The role demands physical work, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift and move items safely. Hours are up to 20 per week and the position requires work within Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Flexible schedule based on campus events.

Responsibilities

• Set up and arrange tables, chairs, and other furniture for meetings, classes, events, and special functions.
• Reconfigure rooms and event spaces based on specific setup requirements.
• Move furniture, equipment, and other materials throughout campus as needed.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down indoor and outdoor events.
• Set up tents, traffic cones, barricades, and other equipment in parking lots and outdoor event areas.
• Place and remove directional signage, event signage, and other displays.
• Assist with preparing event spaces before scheduled activities and returning spaces to their original condition afterward.
• Help transport supplies and equipment to various locations throughout the college.
• Assist with general moving and furniture relocation projects as needed.
• Ensure event spaces, walkways, and surrounding areas remain organized and safe.
• Work closely with college staff and event coordinator to ensure setup requirements are completed accurately and on time
• Perform other general labor and facility support duties as assigned.
