Job summary

Oklahoma City Community College is seeking a Student Event Planner and Marketing Assistant in Career Services to help plan and execute campus events, coordinate logistics, and maintain records. This role offers hands-on experience in event coordination and data management within a dynamic educational environment.

You will work with staff and students, assist with marketing materials, schedule appointments, and research industry trends to support program development and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and implementing career events (career fairs, workshops, forums, Lunch & Learns, employer visits).
• Coordinate logistics: venue setup, materials, on-site support.
• Develop event timelines and checklists with staff.
• Assist Marketing to create marketing materials (emails, flyers, posters).
• Create and maintain spreadsheets for event tracking and contacts.
• Draft/edit documents and promotional materials.
• Maintain organized digital/physical filing systems.
