General Description

The Career Success and Workforce Development Center is seeking a student worker to support department events. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the planning and execution of events, maintaining accurate documentation, and conducting research to enhance departmental initiatives. This position offers hands‑on experience in event coordination, administrative tasks, and data management within a dynamic educational environment.

Current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the Fall OR Spring semester OR enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours for the Summer semester OR Current OCCC student with a Federal Work Study award.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Sedentary work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES : This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to students, administration, staff, faculty, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.

This position frequently requires the person to operate a computer and other office equipment to perform the essential functions of the position.

This position requires the person to frequently operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of hands and wrists.

This position requires the person to perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.

3. VISUAL ACUITY : This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS : This position performs the essential functions in an indoor, office setting.
