Job summary

Syracuse University Campus Dining is seeking a Campus Dining Supervisor to manage daily operations at a designated location. You will lead union, student, and part-time staff, ensuring safety, brand standards, and customer service excellence.

You will hire, schedule, train, and approve payroll, coordinate with campus partners on labor issues, and monitor inventory and costs to sustain efficient unit operations. Strong leadership and ServSafe certification are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in hospitality, restaurant or business management or equivalent supervisory/food service experience.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory and food service experience.
• ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification required or eligible within 90 days.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to hire, schedule, train and manage payroll and labor relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site dining center staff and ensure safety and customer service excellence.
• Hire, schedule, train and approve payroll for employees.
• Coordinate with campus partners to resolve labor issues.
• Maintain inventory and monitor usage and costs for efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to department policies and union rules.
• Support other Campus Dining locations as needed.
