Job summary

Syracuse University is seeking a Dining Team Member to safely prepare, handle, and serve food while supporting kitchen operations. You will work with a team to ensure efficient service, maintain cleanliness, and uphold health standards on campus.

The role requires the ability to read and follow instructions, basic math skills, and a strong work ethic suitable for a fast-paced environment. ServeSafe certification is preferred or obtainable within 45 days of hire.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate kitchen equipment and clean surfaces.
• Prepare and serve food including salads, sandwiches, grilled items and pizzas.
• Operate POS terminals and collect payment from customers.
• Assist with setup and restocking of food service lines and beverage stations.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area that meets health standards.
• Assist on serving lines as needed and replenish food to serving lines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
