Job summary

Syracuse University is seeking a Dining Team Member to safely prepare, serve, and handle food in a fast-paced campus dining environment. You will work with a team to maintain cleanliness and a high level of service while following food safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with service lines, stocking stations, and operating POS terminals. A ServeSafe certification is preferred or obtainable within 45 days of hire, and candidates should have strong work ethic and good

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Basic math skills are needed.
• A ServeSafe certification is preferred (or must be obtained within 45 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Operate and clean kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Prepare and serve food items such as salads, sandwiches, grilled items and pizzas.
• Operate POS terminals and handle customer payments.
• Assist with setup and restocking of food service lines and beverage stations.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and attractive work area compliant with food safety standards.
• Support serving lines as needed and replenish as required.
