Job summary

Syracuse University Campus Dining is seeking a Campus Dining Supervisor to oversee daily operations at a designated campus dining location. You will lead union staff, student workers and part-time employees to ensure safety, service and brand standards are met, while hiring, scheduling and approving payroll.

You will also manage inventory, forecast needs, and coordinate with campus partners to resolve labor issues and maintain efficiency and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent supervisory/food service experience (5+ years) required.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Strong leadership, communication and data analysis skills expected.
• Ability to manage payroll, scheduling and inventory in a campus dining setting.
• Ability to work across campus locations and adapt to rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise union staff, students and part-time workers to meet safety and service standards.
• Hire, train, schedule and approve payroll for dining location employees.
• Coordinate with campus partners to resolve labor issues and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain inventory, forecast needs and manage product usage for efficiency.
• Monitor labor and food cost metrics and keep records in the system.
• Provide ongoing training and ensure safety procedures are followed.
