Job summary

Syracuse University Campus Dining is seeking energetic, motivated people to join our Campus Catering team for on call/temporary work supporting events on campus. If you thrive in a lively, team-oriented environment you will be part of the action and gain hands-on experience in event dining.

Position is on campus with regular in-person presence; evening and weekend availability is required. Pay is $17 per hour, non-exempt, with opportunities to learn food service operations and customer service

Qualifications

• The ability to read, write, count, and follow instructions.
• The ability to communicate well with the public.
• Follow instructions and established procedures to perform duties.
• Must attend all required training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service at campus events.
• Assist with food and beverage service, including serving and bartending.
• Maintain cleanliness and food-safety standards.
• Collaborate with culinary, operations, and admin teams to support events.
• Assist with catering setup, service, and breakdown.
• Provide service to students, guests, and event attendees.
• Support daily operations as needed.
• Follow university safety policies and procedures.
• Evening and weekend availability required.
