Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring temporary/on-call Cooks for North and South Dining Hall in Campus Dining. This entry-level Cook 1 role reports to the Sous Chef and supports basic food prep and kitchen operations.

Under supervision, you will develop foundational culinary skills, food safety knowledge, and production consistency while contributing to daily kitchen workflow and team success.

Qualifications

• Entry-level kitchen or foodservice experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic food preparation and assist with cooking tasks.
• Support station setup, replenishment, and service needs.
• Assist team members during production and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
