Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring for a full-time Cook 3 in North Dining Hall, within our Campus Dining department. The Cook 3 reports to the Sous Chef and performs advanced food preparation in a high-volume Notre Dame dining environment.

The role provides day-to-day guidance to Cook 1 and Cook 2, supports production flow, and ensures quality, safety, and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Progressive culinary experience in commercial/high-volume settings.
• Proficiency in multiple cooking techniques and station production.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced food preparation across multiple stations.
• Maintain consistency in quality, presentation, and portions.
• Provide informal leadership to Cook 1 and Cook 2.
• Train new employees on recipes and kitchen procedures.
• Support production planning and workflow.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and HACCP standards.
