Job summary

The Dining Service Assistant Manager at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln helps oversee the daily operation of a residence hall dining center, ensuring safe, welcoming surroundings, healthy meal options, and high-quality service for students, staff, and guests.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or equivalent education/experience in food-related, business, or hotel/restaurant management field.
• Three years of food service experience with supervisory responsibilities in a high-volume dining environment.
• Knowledge of cost controls, inventory controls and food safety/sanitation programs necessary.
• Must supervise food production and have excellent customer relations, team building, and communications skills; familiarity with personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and internet.

• Assist with the management and supervision of the overall operation of a university residence hall dining center.
• Provide a safe and inviting atmosphere, healthful meal choices, and quality service for students, staff, faculty, and guests.
