Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks a Quick Service Team Leader to supervise Abel Dining’s mobile quick service operations in Lincoln, NE. You will ensure accuracy and timeliness of orders, train student workers, and maintain high food quality and dining standards.

Essential duties include overseeing kitchen and dining areas, assigning tasks, troubleshooting customer concerns, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with three years of food preparation experience.
• Ability to read, write, weigh, and measure commands clearly.
• Excellent communication and ability to train others in kitchens and dining areas.
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain via safety test is required.

Responsibilities

• Guide and supervise within Abel Dining’s quick service concepts.
• Ensure orders are accurate, timely, and meet standards.
• Assign daily tasks to student workers and staff during shifts.
• Oversee kitchen, dish room, and dining area operations.
• Train staff on recipes, production processes, and dining standards.
• Troubleshoot customer concerns as they arise.
