Job summary

At University of Southern Maine in Portland, Sodexo seeks a Cook to accurately prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold items for all meal periods and events, in line with Sodexo’s culinary standards for quality and consistency. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of related kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items according to culinary standards.
• Maintain safe, accurate, and efficient production in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Support teamwork and uphold food safety and sanitation standards.
• Follow recipes, estimate production needs, and manage supplies.
