Job summary

Northeastern University–Miami seeks a proactive Campus Assistant for daytime and evening/weekend classes, study hours, and events. This part-time temporary role focuses on greeting guests, assisting students, and ensuring smooth class starts with basic tech support.

Proficiency in Word/Excel and AV equipment is desirable. Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2 years of office experience, ideally in higher education.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred; 2 years of office experience.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and AV equipment communications.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist students, faculty, and guests.
• Field questions from students, faculty, and guests, providing appropriate resolutions.
• Provide technical support and other customer service for students and faculty.
• Ensure security and maintenance of campus facilities.
• Respond to and document evening maintenance requests.
• Stock supplies in classroom, kitchenette, etc.
• Follow Miami campus emergency procedures with staff coordination.
• Check campus and power down equipment before departure.
• Support events and student orientations as needed.
