Job summary

CT State Community College in Middletown seeks a Campus CARE Specialist to provide non-clinical case management, outreach, and advocacy for students facing personal, academic, or social challenges. The role reports to the Associate Dean and collaborates with the CARE Functional Lead.

You will connect students with campus and community resources, participate in CARE team efforts, uphold equity and inclusion, and help develop outreach campaigns and trainings for faculty, staff, and students.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field with 2+ years in student support or crisis intervention.
• Direct experience supporting individuals in crisis, coordinating referrals across campus and community systems.
• Commitment to trauma-informed practice and diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical case management for students.
• Conduct risk assessments and coordinate safety planning.
• Assist with resources for basic needs (food, housing, transportation).
• Maintain confidential documentation in case management system.
• Collaborate with campus partners to support student wellbeing.
