Job summary

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) seeks a Student Support Specialist to support student success through the CARE Team, crisis response, and case management. The role combines direct student services with administrative collaboration to ensure holistic wellbeing and timely interventions.

On-site/hybrid work options are available in Colorado Springs. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, experience with college students, and familiarity with Maxient case management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Professional experience with college students (1 academic year or 2 years in student employment).
• Experience supporting students in crisis and risk assessment trainings are assets.
• Familiarity with case management software (Maxient preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide risk assessment and crisis support for students referred to CARE Team.
• Manage a personal caseload with minimal supervision.
• Support academic withdrawals and late/retroactive withdrawal processes.
• Coordinate CARE Team meetings, document case notes, and ensure follow-up actions.
• Assist in data collection for CARE Team reports and participate in committees.
