Job summary

CT State Community College is seeking a Campus CARE Specialist to provide non‑clinical case management and advocacy for students facing personal, academic, or social challenges. You will work under the Associate Dean or Campus Dean and coordinate with the CARE Functional Lead to ensure consistent data practices.

You will connect students with resources, participate in risk assessments, and help lead the campus CARE team to proactively identify and respond to students of concern.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required with 2+ years of experience in college/university student support or crisis intervention.
• Direct experience supporting students in crisis and coordinating referrals across campus and community systems.
• Knowledge of trauma‑informed practices and commitment to diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical case management to students facing personal, academic, or psychosocial challenges.
• Conduct risk assessments and coordinate safety planning with campus safety and external agencies.
• Collaborate with campus offices to connect students with food, housing, financial assistance, and basic needs resources.
• Maintain confidential documentation and ensure adherence to policies and data standards.
• Lead CARE team activities and coordinate outreach campaigns for early intervention and student well‑being.
