Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Baker in South Dakota State University area to prepare baked goods from scratch following recipes and Sodexo standards. You will weigh ingredients, mix doughs, bake items, and maintain the bake shop area with proper labeling and dating.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work varied shifts. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 0–1 years of related experience preferred. Pay ranges from $15 to $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• 0 to 1+ years of related work experience.
• Experience in a specialized bakery or pastry role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check daily production schedules and follow Sodexo recipes to prepare a variety of baked items from scratch.
• Accurately weigh ingredients, mix doughs, shape and bake items to perfection.
• Regulate oven temperatures, monitor baking times, ensure proper temperatures.
• Set up and stock the bake shop area, maintain storage, labeling, and dating of all products.
• Keep bakery clean and organized; attend shifts on time.
• Walk or stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
