Job summary

Sodexo at Weber State University in Ogden, UT is seeking a dedicated Baker to prepare baked goods according to recipes and production specs, delivering pastries that meet high standards for taste and appearance.

You will follow daily production schedules, bake from scratch—breads, rolls, muffins, cakes and pastries—regulating oven temperatures and ensuring correct temperatures for serving. The role requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Check daily production schedules and follow Sodexo recipes to prepare breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, cakes, and pastries from scratch.
• Regulate oven temperatures, monitor baking times, and ensure products are prepared, held, and served at correct temperatures.
• Set up and stock the bake shop area, maintain proper storage, rotation, labeling, and dating of all products, and keep the bakery clean and organized.
• Pay close attention to detail, accommodate special requests, and ensure only high-quality baked items leave the kitchen.
• Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
