Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking a Classroom Audio/Visual Support Technician to deliver day-to-day AV support for classrooms, conference rooms, and departmental spaces on campus. You will handle tickets, troubleshoot hardware and software, and assist with installations and classroom technology upgrades.

This on-site role requires strong customer service, excellent written communication, and experience with AV systems.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of AV technology support experience in academic or corporate settings.
• Experience providing customer service in academic or corporate environments.
• Experience supporting computer hardware and software in academic or corporate settings.
• Effective written communication skills demonstrated in application materials.
• Familiarity with classroom technologies and equipment standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide campus AV support, troubleshoot hardware and software, and manage tickets to minimize downtime.
• Assist with new installation projects and coordinate inventory and upgrades.
• Stay current on classroom technologies, certifications, and training relevant to KU IT standards.
