Job summary

Colorado College is seeking a Classroom Systems and Events Technician to provide AV support for 190+ classrooms and learning spaces. You will perform lifecycle replacements, preventive maintenance, and professional technical support for events, meetings, and conferences requiring audio-visual technology.

The role emphasizes collaboration with faculty and events teams to ensure reliable classroom technology use and high-quality event delivery across campus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field (AV).
• One year of relevant work experience may substitute for one year of required education; or relevant coursework may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle management of classroom AV equipment, including projectors, control components, amplifiers, speakers, screens, and cabling.
• Provide on-demand technical support to faculty in smart classrooms to minimize disruption.
• Conduct annual preventive maintenance and system checks for reliability.
• Coordinate setup, troubleshooting, operation, and teardown of AV for classes and events across campus venues.
• Consult with event organizers to assess technical needs and support event planning.
