Job summary

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation in Medora is seeking a Hotel/Motel Front Desk Representative to operate the campground front desk, assist guests at check-in/out, and provide friendly, accurate information about Medora and events. You will handle reservations for motels and TRMF events, process payments, and maintain a neat store and lobby area.

Prior campground guest-service experience is valued; strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be fluent in English, bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage the operations of the front desk, ensuring minimal time for check-in/out.
• Able to use Opera, Etix, and other computer systems or learn them.
• Collect payment using Clover POS.
• Process returns and exchanges.
• Retrieve merchandise from sales floor and replenish shop items.
• Warmly and professionally welcome guests.
• On-site and available after hours as needed to assist guests.
• Direct guests to appropriate staff for support with questions and requests.
• Handle guest issues with professionalism and tact.
• Ensure final bills are delivered promptly to guests.
• Maintain campground store and shared areas neat and orderly.
• Make and answer telephone calls.
• Take reservations for motels, golf, and TRMF events.
• Know hotel policies, rates, discounts, and events; RV knowledge helpful.
• Know upcoming events, local areas, and hotel offerings.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings.
• Promote events and services with accurate information.
• Build positive relationships with guests, colleagues, and management.
