Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking a high-energy Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership position at top-tier summer camps. You will oversee daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume on-site environment.

This live-in role offers a seasonal contract (May–Sept) with competitive pay, a performance bonus, and full room and board. You will travel to rural camp facilities across the country while ensuring exceptional dietary accommodations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified; Allergens certification required before start date (company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee culinary operations, portion control, menu specs, and timely service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain sanitation standards.
• Control inventory, place orders, and track daily reporting and budgets.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership, and Wolfoods corporate office.
