Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. This on-site, live-in position oversees daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You will lead kitchen staff, ensure scratch cooking, manage inventory and costs, and serve campers with top-quality meals while maintaining health, safety, and sanitation standards across a seasonal May–Sept contract.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch cooking.
• ServSafe Manager Certified; Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and schedule kitchen staff to maintain a high-energy environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and sanitation standards.
• Control inventory and budgets, and compile daily reports.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, staff, and Wolfoods office.
