Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rustic, on-site summer camp facilities. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This seasonal contract runs May through September with competitive pay, bonus opportunities, and provided room and board. The role requires a 6-day, 70-hour week and readiness to live on-site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic camp setting and work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Maintain strict allergy protocols and sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
