Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at rustic US summer camps. This on-site, live-in position oversees all prep and production for designated day parts, manages staff, and enforces allergen safety protocols.

Contract runs May–Sept with Full-Time, Exempt status (minimum 6 days/70 hours per week). Perks include competitive pay, a performance bonus, free room & board, and travel allowance.

Qualifications

2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
Oversee prep and production for designated day parts; ensure portion control and scratch cooking.
Manage allergen safety protocols and health department sanitation standards.
Assist with inventory, budget, and daily reporting.
Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
