Job summary

HeartPlace PLLC in Dallas, TX seeks a Call Center Representative to handle patient calls, schedule appointments, and explain clinic procedures.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, at least 3 years of customer service, and EMR systems knowledge. Cardiology experience is preferred; a valid driver’s license and insurance are required where applicable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls expediently and refers inquiries to the appropriate parties as needed.
• Schedules and confirms patient appointments over the phone.
• Explains health center procedures to patients.
• Verifies medical insurance coverage and eligibility and expires on any insurance that is not active.
• Informs patients with account balances and correct billing amounts.
• Notifies patients with insurance co-pays.
• Verifies patient demographic information.
• Ensures accuracy of information in telephone messages and deciphers charges for self-pay or sliding fee schedules.
• Provides referral status information to patients.
• Follows processes and policies for the organization.
• Fosters team building within the clinic staff.
• Manages quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Maintains a safe workplace by following safety protocols.
• Travels to/from other locations when required and ensures vehicles are compliant with safety requirements.
• Encourages cooperation and resolves conflicts constructively.
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Call Center Specialist to join our team at the HeartPlace clinics in the DFW area.

Responsibilities:

• Answers phone calls expediently and refer inquiries to the appropriate parties as needed.
• Schedules and confirms patient appointments over the phone.
• Explains health center procedures to patients.
• Verifies medical insurance coverage and eligibility and expires on any insurance that is not active.
• Informs patients with account balances and correct billing amounts.
• Notifies patients with insurance co-pays.
• Verifies patient demographic information.
• Ensures accuracy of the information in telephone messages and deciphers the correct amount to charge a self-pay or sliding fee schedule for patients.
• Provides referral status information to patients.

• Fosters the goals of team building within the clinic/center staff.
• Manages quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Maintains a safe workplace by following established safety protocols, reporting hazards, and participating in required safety training.
• When position requires travel to/from other locations, ensures vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Fosters a team-oriented environment by encouraging cooperation, providing support, and resolving conflicts constructively.
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.
• Reports to work as scheduled, ready to perform duties, and promptly notify their supervisor of any attendance issues.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of EMR systems preferred.
• A High School diploma or GED from an Accredited Institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service.
• Current valid state driver's license and required minimum auto insurance coverage.
• Cardiology practice experience preferred.
