Qualifications

• 1 year of medical front desk experience required.
• 6 months of EMR experience is required, ECW or Athena preferred.
• 6 months of obtaining prior authorization experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Registers new patients and enters data in the system.
• Ensures patients have updated demographic information.
• Requests co-pays and balances from patients.
• Provides support for incoming calls.
• Communicates patient arrivals to clinical area.
• Completes the pre-certification/pre-authorizations process.
• Prepares charts for next day's patients.
• Supports check-out and collects payments.
• Helps with scheduling as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.
