Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Discipline Leader for California water reuse projects within our Water Reuse COP. You will guide planning, design and delivery of drinking water and wastewater systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients.

This senior role requires 15 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree, PE preferred, and the ability to travel 20-40%. You will mentor staff, contribute to proposals, and help grow the firm’s technical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 15 years of related experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and knowledge of California water reuse regulations.
• Experience with proposal development and regulatory compliance.
• Travel up to 20-40% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and coordinates with other subject matter experts on the delivery of water reuse, drinking water, and/or wastewater projects.
• Collaborates with the Water Reuse Practice Leader and sales staff to support proposals and perform technical reviews for regulatory compliance.
• Performs quality checks of documents for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; ensures firm policies are followed.
• Attends and presents at conferences and symposia to enhance the firm’s visibility and knowledge base.
• Mentors staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm.
