Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer / Project Technical Leader to support and lead water-related projects for a diverse client base on the West Coast. The ideal candidate will work independently while also leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists locally and across the West Coast on large-diameter water, water reuse, and wastewater conveyance projects.

Roles include design, code compliance, mentorship, and client engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering and PE license.
7 years of related experience; travel required.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Develop, review, and approve basic to highly complex engineering designs for conveyance systems, hydraulics, and water distribution.
Ensure designs comply with state and local regulations.
Mentor and supervise junior staff; provide training and development.
Prepare proposals and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Meet with clients to understand and support evolving project needs.
Represent CDM Smith at conferences to enhance visibility and client relationships.
