Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a California-licensed Structural Engineer (SE) to lead seismic design, advanced structural analysis, and resiliency initiatives for vertical-building projects. The role includes serving as Engineer of Record, coordinating with architects and multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring engineers and designers across California and the Western United States.

Qualifications

Licensed California SE with PE preferred.
MS in structural/civil with emphasis on structural engineering.
10+ years of vertical-building project experience.
Experience as Engineer of Record and technical lead for complex projects.

Responsibilities

Lead analysis, design, evaluation, and rehab of complex building projects.
Act as Engineer of Record for major projects through planning, design, construction.
Prepare calculations, specs, reports, and construction documents.
Mentor engineers and designers; promote technical excellence.
Collaborate with architects, owners, and multidisciplinary teams.
Support client development, pursuits, proposals, and presentations.
Lead seismic engineering, performance-based design, and resiliency initiatives.
Perform advanced linear and nonlinear analysis with industry tools.
Lead ASCE 41 seismic evaluations and retrofit designs.
