Job summary
Jacobs, a leading global engineering company, seeks a California-licensed Structural Engineer to lead seismic and structural design for vertical buildings. The role requires a California SE and PE license, a Master’s in structural/civil engineering, and 10+ years of focused experience.

Qualifications
- Licensed California Structural Engineer (SE) and Professional Engineer (PE).
- 10+ years of vertical-building structural engineering experience.
- Experience as Engineer of Record and technical lead for complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of CBC, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and California seismic requirements.
- Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, PERFORM-3D, RAM, SAFE, or similar software.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural analysis, design, and rehabilitation of complex buildings.
- Act as Engineer of Record for major projects from planning to delivery.
- Prepare and review calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
- Mentor engineers and designers, promoting technical excellence.
- Collaborate with architects, owners and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support client development, pursuits, and technical presentations.
- Lead seismic engineering and retrofit designs (ASCE 41).
- Shape Jacobs' structural practice across California.
