Job summary

The GIANT Company in Culpeper, VA is seeking a bakery team member. You will review schedules, prepare for duties, frost cakes, take and store orders, and keep all surfaces, tools, cases, and floors clean and sanitary in line with PPE and food-safety rules.

This on-site, full-time role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and meet attendance and performance standards. Shifts start with 4-hour blocks as needed, and training includes a 60-day introductory period.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Completion of a 60-day introductory period.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements.
• Able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools for this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet performance standards and regular attendance.
• Must wear assigned clothes and shoes.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift.
• Mix and frost frosting, decorate cakes, and load/display bakery items.
• Take, complete, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
• Track and record loss; maintain food safety practices.
