Job summary

The GIANT Company in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a bakery teammate to assist in frosting, decorating cakes, taking and completing orders, and keeping work areas clean and safe. This role supports our customers and team members daily in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.

The position requires reviewing shifts, preparing supplies, adhering to PPE requirements, and meeting attendance and performance standards. Lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for portions of shifts are involved.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid identification
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively
• Complete 60-day introductory period
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements
• Able to use equipment safely
• Perform all job functions safely
• Meet performance standards including regular attendance
• Wear proper clothes and shoes for the job
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at shift start and prepare PPE and supplies.
• Frost cakes, color frosting, make cones, load cones, decorate with frosting.
• Take, complete, and store bakery orders.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation habits.
