Job summary

The GIANT Company in Plymouth Meeting, PA is seeking a bakery team member to join our store operations. You will review the shift schedule, prepare PPE, and ensure readiness for duties, while maintaining safety standards.

Your duties include frosting, decorating cakes, taking and completing bakery orders, cleaning surfaces and equipment, tracking loss, and upholding food safety and sanitation at all times. 1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift, check the equipment and supplies required, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes, and decorate cakes with colored frosting.
• Take orders, complete orders, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, all tools and equipment, all display cases, and all floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Must demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits.
