Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a bakery team member in Altoona, PA. You will start the shift by reviewing the schedule, preparing equipment and PPE, then bake, frost, decorate, and fulfill bakery orders.

You will ensure cleanliness, safety, and accurate record-keeping while supporting customers and teammates in a fast-paced store environment. Qualified candidates are expected to meet basic work eligibility, pass a 60-day introductory period, maintain attendance, and follow safety standards; one

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid identification
• Able to read, write and communicate to complete duties and follow policies
• Introductory (probationary) period of 60 days
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements and perform all job functions safely
• Must meet performance standards including regular attendance
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, check PPE, prepare for duties at the start of shift
• Mix, frost, decorate, and finish bakery items
• Take, complete, and store orders in the bakery cooler
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters
• Track and record loss and maintain food safety practices
• Adhere to company safety and sanitation guidelines
