Job summary

The GIANT Company in Quarryville, PA is looking for a bakery/retail team member to support daily bakery operations, including frosting, cake decoration, taking and storing orders, and maintaining clean work areas. You will follow all food safety and PPE rules, work shifts of at least four hours, and complete a 60-day probation while meeting company performance standards and attendance expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must read, write, and communicate in order to complete job duties and to comply with policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
• Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards including regular attendance.
• Must wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift and prepare required equipment and supplies.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, decorate cakes, and load/display items as needed.
• Take, complete, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation practices.
