Job summary

Opaa! is hiring at our school dining operations to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering functions. You will perform all kitchen positions and help ensure meals are served safely and appealingly.

Responsibilities include setting up serving lines, preparing foods per menu and Opaa! recipes, maintaining clean work areas, using equipment with proper certification, and following HACCP and FIFO procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; related experience is acceptable.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and menu plans.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Basic math for portioning and mixing ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up serving lines and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes.
• Operate equipment with proper certification.
• Keep areas neat, clean, and organized.
• Handle administrative tasks like tray counts and meal reconciliation.
• Participate in daily dish and safety procedures.
• Maintain FIFO stock and clean work areas.
