Job summary

Sightglass Coffee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in Berkeley. You will lead shift operations, uphold service standards, and coach staff to deliver a superior guest experience.

In addition to managing daily tasks, you will handle customer incidents, oversee scheduling, cash handling, and inventory-related duties, stepping up with sound judgment when the manager is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in retail or hospitality supervision.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to coach and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager to ensure an efficient shift workflow.
• In the absence of a Manager, assume cafe responsibility and lead the team.
• Manage counter flow and delegate tasks to the operating team.
• Share feedback with management regarding shift outcomes and business needs.
• Exercise excellent judgement and maintain service standards.
