Job summary

Sightglass Coffee Roasters in Los Angeles is seeking a Shift Lead to support daily cafe operations and lead on the floor. You will ensure guests enjoy an outstanding experience and collaborate with other leaders to keep service smooth.

You will educate staff on current offerings, assist with inventory and ordering, and provide feedback to management. Strong leadership, communication, and a customer-first mindset are essential, with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Full-time employee (30-35 hours per week) with weekend availability.
• Able to maintain positivity under stress with staff and patrons.
• Strong time management and sense of urgency in tasks.
• Shows leadership, empathy and support when engaging staff.
• Communicates clearly and promptly with team and management.

Responsibilities

• Strives for top quality in beverages, food, customer interactions and store operations.
• Educates staff and customers on current offerings including beans, drinks and merchandise.
• Supports cafe operations by following directives and delegating tasks to the team.
• Assists with ordering coffee, milk, pastries and inventory as assigned.
• Monitors daily schedule and provides feedback to improve results.
• Maintains cash handling procedures and safe cash drawers.
• Upholds company policies on safety, cleanliness and hospitality standards.
• Communicates staff feedback to the Store Manager and manages shift flow.
• Maintains health, food safety guidelines and a positive attitude.
• Conducts monthly inventory and responds to inquiries with professionalism.
