Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring an Assistant Café Manager to lead daily cafe operations, working closely with the Cafe Manager to drive exceptional guest service and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise a team, oversee training, and ensure quality, freshness, and presentation while meeting payroll, reporting, and HR timelines, with a focus on teamwork and client satisfaction in a dynamic workplace.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to drive and enhance a culture focused on safety.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a high-volume, premium food service environment.
• Experience in restaurant, café, hotel, or high-end events is a plus.
• Ability to include diverse perspectives and build a cohesive team.
• Strong written and verbal communication with guest-facing hospitality.
• Proficient with computers and Google Suite tools.
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Experience managing in a Union Environment.

Responsibilities

• Rigorously manage safety standards and allergen control.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and inspections; meet safety benchmarks.
• Establish and maintain a warm, inclusive hospitality standard.
• Lead training and professional development of front-of-house staff.
• Monitor financial and budgetary responsibilities; ensure fiscal efficiency.
• Meet payroll, service reports, AR, and HR documentation timelines.
• Operate web-based ordering systems; update menus as needed.
• Maintain communication with Cafe Manager and client stakeholders.
