Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and service.
• Barista experience is beneficial.
• Strong math skills for cash handling.
• Ability to manage staff and coordinate teams.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Café.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
• Manage inventory and place orders with suppliers as needed.
• Ensure all food & beverages are prepared to a high standard.
• Manage food & beverage cost and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Provide excellent customer service to enhance satisfaction.
• Conduct opening and closing procedures, including cash tills and cleaning.
• Greet customers and take orders efficiently.
• Operate POS register for food and beverage.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and give correct change.
• Prepare food and beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and health regulations.
• Ensure guests are welcomed with friendly service.
• Restock foods, beverages, condiments, and supplies.
• Wash and dry dishes, glasses, and utensils.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking.
• Use basic math for retail calculations.
• Upsell menu items to increase sales.
• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Meet company objectives in sales, service, quality, and sanitation through staff training.
• Assign staff to side work including cleaning duties.
• Maintain the Café’s image and suggest improvements.
• Control costs and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Review and evaluate staff performance.
