Job summary

The Tortuga Café at Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, FL seeks a Food & Beverage Coordinator to manage daily Café operations, recruit and train staff, and supervise service. You’ll handle inventory, orders, cash handling, and ensure food and beverage cost standards are met while delivering outstanding guest experiences.

This is a full-time, hourly role with a dynamic outdoor environment and weekend/evening hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food service or hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of food preparation and service standards.
• Strong math skills for cash handling.
• Ability to manage staff and lead a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Friendly demeanor with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Café operations and maintain guest satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, and supervise Café staff.
• Manage inventory and place supplier orders.
• Ensure food & beverage cost control and uphold standards.
• Handle cash, operate POS, and process transactions accurately.
• Prepare and serve food & beverages to recipe standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and health-safety compliance.
• Upsell menu items to boost sales and guest experience.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and staff coordination.
